How we review a cafe

From anonymous visit to published scorecard

Suggest a cafe for review

Anonymous visit

We walk in without announcing ourselves, order like any regular customer, and sit through the full service cycle. No special treatment, no free samples, no staff knowing they are being watched.

Structured tasting

Each location is scored on espresso extraction, filter coffee preparation, milk texture, and food pairings. We take notes on the same checklist every time so results stay comparable across cities.

Ambiance and seating check

We measure noise levels, table spacing, power outlet availability, and how long a laptop user can comfortably stay. This decides whether the spot suits solo workers, student groups, or quick meetups.

Service timing log

We record how long it takes from ordering to receiving each item, and how staff respond during peak hours. A slow kitchen is noted, but so is a barista who handles a rush without losing quality.

Scorecard and write-up

Every visit becomes a numbered scorecard with a clear recommendation. We publish practical tips on best visiting hours and must-try items, then link the review to our city guides.

Our Ludhiana desk at 17, Albert Society, FarazPur Ludhiana - 552453 is open for scheduled meetings on weekdays. Bring printed evidence for any dispute, and we will walk through the scorecard line by line before publishing a revision.

General inquiries get a first response within 48 hours. Correction requests tied to a published review are prioritized and usually resolved within five working days, including the verification visit when needed.

Escalation

When a reply is not enough

If your concern involves a factual error that affects a cafe's rating, ask for the senior editor on duty. They review the original visit notes, the photos, and the scoring sheet before deciding on any change.
